The Tianjin Institute of Industrial Biotechnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Chengdu Documentation and Information Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences jointly released the "China Bioindustry Investment Analysis Report 2016" in Tianjin on May 25. It is expected that by 2020, China's broad-sense biological industry output value will reach 80,000-10 trillion yuan, of which the biological industry output value will reach 120,000-15 trillion yuan, with an annual growth rate of 10-12%.

In order to vigorously develop the bio-industry, China has established it as one of the seven strategic emerging industries, focusing on the cultivation of bio-based materials, the development of bio-chemical industry and the strengthening of modern fermentation industry, vigorously promoting the overall goal of enzyme engineering, fermentation engineering technology and equipment innovation.

The report points out that under the pull of advanced technology and the pull of domestic and foreign market demand, the development of bio-industry contains great prospects for development and investment opportunities. Biomass resources mining and utilization, microbial group solutions, new tools and technology platform development, application of new high-efficiency enzymes, construction of bio-chemical modules and biosesynthesis of high-value-added chemicals will become future investment. Hot topics.

According to the analysis of the report, the substitution rate of bio-based materials and chemicals (excluding bio-pharmaceutical products) has gradually increased, and the annual sales revenue of bio-based materials and chemicals is expected to account for 10-12% of the total sales revenue in the materials and chemicals market by 2020; the output value of fine chemicals (including fermented products) is expected to increase substantially, exceeding 1 trillion yuan by 2020; and the production capacity of bio-based materials (including monomers) has steadily increased, reaching 11 million-12% by 2020. Thirteen million tons, with an average annual growth rate of 12%-15%. The popularity of green biological agents in papermaking, textiles, metallurgy and environmental management has continued to grow, reaching more than 30% by 2020.

The relevant person in charge of the Chinese Academy of Sciences said that the "China Bioindustry Investment Analysis Report" will be published once a year to continuously carry out in-depth analysis of the international and domestic development situation of the bioindustry and strive to become a value investment guide in the field of Bioindustry in China.
